If 2025 was about clearing the deck and building my physical foundations, 2026 marks the transition from planning to making. This year is dedicated to exploring the Mineral & Botanical palette through the lense of the rugged coastline, focusing on its beautifully muted, natural colors. It is the season where abstract plans are slowly translated into structured, tactile reality.
Giving a full picture of this time means looking beyond the making table to the digital landscape built to support it. Alongside sourcing and sorting materials, these months have been heavily dedicated to engineering the studio’s digital architecture. This involved the meticulous process of building my website through Google Sites and establishing a clear, intentional brand presence through the launch of my Substack and social media platforms.
The timeline milestones below capture this journey of creative action and structural systemising. The studio's focus now moves between testing raw materials and anchoring my professional ecosystem online.
I was mainly hibernating, while still trying to be a productive adult - this called for some new filing shelves for the side of my desk. I also became Vinted's number one customer sourcing fabrics and threads, learning as I went what materials and colours really resonated with me.
It's all becoming a little bit too real - I'm actually 'doing' this. My website design is making great progress, spreadsheets are all finalised, my Substack is live, and I even have a logo! It's a relief to be getting this far - I'll be able to settle down soon and start making things (eek!)
